Empowering Educators: Teachers Conference 2024

Three faculty members from Pioneer College of Arts and Science—Mr. P. Karuppusamy, Mr. B. Beemaraj, and Mrs. L. Reena—from the School of Commerce and the Department of Management attended a teachers’ conference on the theme “Empowering Educators” organized by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Coimbatore Chapter, on 29th November 2024, at the Indian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Coimbatore, as part of the Teachers’ Week celebrations.

The Guest of Honor, Dr. V. Bharathi Harishankar, Ph.D., FRCS, Vice-Chancellor of Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore, emphasized the transformative power of teaching and the importance of empowering educators. She highlighted the need for continuous learning and the acquisition of wisdom to achieve goals and guide students on the right path.

The conference featured a session by Mr. V. Madhusudanan, Corporate Economist, on company law. This was followed by talks by Mr. G. S. Ramachandran on Thirukkural and Mr. P. S. Eswaramoorthi, B.Sc. (Zoology), on the importance of addressing public issues.
