National Deworming Day – 2026

“Healthy Students, Happy Campus”

The National Service Scheme (NSS) of Pioneer College of Arts and Science observed National Deworming Day on 10 February 2026 with the objective of promoting awareness on hygiene and preventive healthcare among students.

The programme comprised a pledge-taking ceremony and the distribution of Albendazole tablets. An awareness session was conducted by Dr. Poongodi, Medical Officer, RBSK, Thaliyur, who emphasized the significance of regular deworming, sanitation, and healthy habits in preventing worm-related infections.

Students actively participated in the programme and took a pledge reaffirming their commitment to cleanliness and personal well-being. The initiative effectively conveyed the messages “Deworm Today, Stay Healthy Tomorrow” and “Say No to Worms, Yes to Wellness.”
