Department of Computer Science, Pioneer College of Arts and Science

The Department of Computer Science at Pioneer College of Arts and Science proudly launched DASH – Developing Academic Skills through Handholding, a peer-learning initiative designed to uplift academic engagement through student-to-student knowledge sharing.

As part of this initiative, Jothi Prakash and Sruthika, final-year Computer Science with Data Analytics students from Sankara College of Science and Commerce, conducted a practical session for our students.

The session focused on Version Control Systems – Git and GitHub, offering hands-on demonstrations and real-time problem-solving strategies. It aimed to equip students with essential skills in software development and collaborative project management.

Held on 24th July 2025 at the Conference Hall, the event saw the active participation of 60 Computer Science students, who greatly appreciated the practical approach and peer-led learning environment.

The session was graced by our Principal, Dr. K. Murugesan, and Dr. Vasanthi, Head of the Department of Computer Science, who commended the spirit of collaboration and knowledge sharing demonstrated during the session.

Students described the session as highly informative and engaging, with a strong emphasis on real-time application and teamwork.
