Awareness Programme on Financial Literacy

The Department of Commerce organized an Awareness Programme on Financial Literacy on 16 December 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Devarajan Auditorium to equip students with essential knowledge on savings, budgeting, investment, and responsible money management.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr. K. Murugesan, Principal. The session, under the One Crore Mission, was handled by Mr. Prasanth Badri Govindarajulu, entrepreneur and finance professional, with academic training in Economics and Financial Engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada. He shared practical and student-friendly insights on financial discipline and financial planning.

Mr. Kiran Rajkumar, Trustee, Pioneer Trust, and Dr. V. Ramachandran, Administrative Officer, graced the occasion. Mr. Kiran Rajkumar also addressed the gathering and provided valuable guidance on effective money management and long-term financial planning.

The programme was coordinated by Dr. N. Valarmathy and Dr. R. Chitra. The vote of thanks was delivered by Mr. P. Rajappan, Vice Principal.
